ELF: Not the pointy-eared type

Natalie and I both attended the European Leadership Forum as participants this year; Natalie in the Politics and Society track and I in the Media Communicator’s network. It was a blessing to be served and have time to focus on my new ministry and connect with other ministry leaders in my area and country and also other adjacent disciplines. We also got to connect with several other missionaries that SBC supports including Noah Johnson and Dustin Combes from Slovakia and Alek and Verica Kajali from Macedonia. It was also a blessing to see and talk with many of the SBC volunteers who were serving this year. My network leaders are all from Norway and know the leader of the M4 church building movement the conference of which I will be attending in June. I always felt ELF was for nationals and not really for me, but I was told by several Czech co-ministers as well as my track leaders that ELF is definitely for me. As I develop this next phase of ministry, I think ELF will prove to be a profitable network for me in my development and the development of the ministry.

Natalie has attended before online, but this was the first time she was able to attend in person. She made several good connections including with a Czech leader who works at the EU. Natalie was very encouraged and inspired by her time with her leaders and fellow track attendees. She had a big business conference with her embassy work the day after the forum and had several good evangelistic conversations with some of the attendees and her co-workers there which were directly inspired by here recent attendance at the Forum.
